Technical tire question
I’m looking at swapping out my Michelin Cup’s with the newer Cup 2 version
The current size on the car is - 325/30/19
The new Cup 2’s come in both a 315mm and 325mm width versions of that tire.
Would there be any performance advantage going with a 315mm on this wheel size?
My concern is with the 325, the sizewall is stretched quite a bit; not sure how that affects the tire dynamics.
Thanks in advance for your wisdom

The tires should have an ideal rim width listed for each size. If they're 12" wide rims, I would stick with the 325s. If any narrower, they will stretch the 325s.

Sorry, forgot to mention the wheel size - 19 x 11’s

I would stick with the 315s so you don't stretch them.

Just spoke with JBSBlown about the street tire he runs, as all his cars have loads of power.
He advised the R888
After doing some research it looks like they have a new “R888R” tire in a 305/30/19, or the previous model “R888" in a 305 or 325mm width.

I would go with either before Cups. The R888Rs look promising.

Nice chatting with you, and yes. I'd go with the R888R in the 305/30/19, the recommended rim size is 11", so that should work GREAT.
