I am getting ready to buy a pump for build. It is a stroked 427. For right now it will be n/a it might see a little nitrous down the road but not anytime soon. My question is what pump is the best go with.
It will have 850FIC injectors. Looking to be in the mid 600's hp
Will the Walbro 450 be enough to handle it.
I also was looking at the AEM 320
Another option I was throwing around was using the ECS Fuel Block and adding a external pump back into the stock line like the stage 1 system so I didnt have to drop the tanks. But all I see is people who use it as a boost reference type system.
Best bet is using the Walbro 267 aka 485. Lingenfelter sells an entire bucket assembly with the pump already installed if you don't want to modify the bucket yourself.

I just installed a Walbro 450 pump this passed weekend. I'm switching to a flex fuel system here in the coming months. I only had to mod a few spots for this pump to fit but no big deal.

Thanks! I was going to run my sensor like that as well. Did you drop both tanks or just one? How hard was it? What did you have to do to the bucket just drill a couple of holes in it?

You only need to drop the drivers side tank to install the pump. I cut a small rectangle hole at the base of the bucket just as a precautionary measure to let fuel in. The pump dropped right in the stock location.

A single AEM 320 won't support any decent power on e85. Decent pumps when used 2 or 3 at a time, but a single one is only enough fuel for ~500-550rwhp.

Thanks for the info thats what I was sacred of. The best part is that pump was recommenced to me by a shop that does all these e85 cars
