Default squeeky brakes

hey guys
so I've got a C5 but have the C6 z06 brakes on it
awesome brakes. stops on a dime, never had fade

one huge issue though since I did the install is when they warm up, they get SUPER loud. all 4 corners

I've got a set of hawk pads on them.

any ideas why they might be screaming like this when they get hot?
pads are not worn yet hardly at all

think its the hawk pads?

we have a C6 Z06 and its never done this no matter what temp the brakes are at

thanks for any ideas

Danny

What Hawk compound are you using? Most likely it is the pads.

If your your not going to track the car, don't want hardly any brake dust at all and don't want the squeaky brakes. Get Autozone Duralast Gold Ceramic Pads. Cheap and a lot of members run them.

Take a look at this pad the Carbotech 1521.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

If you track and you don't want squeely brakes on the street you will need two sets of pads. Use the HPS for track (if you like them) and get a set of Hawk PC's for the street.

If your not willing to swap pads for street and track than you will have to deal with the noise.
