I have an 05 Z51, LS2 Cammed, CAI, Exhaust and tons of top end upgrades. Car Runs Great. Is it bad to run 100 octane sometimes or just stick with 91?
If your car is tuned correctly and not pulling any timing (Knock Retard), then the added octane will not really benefit. However, if you are pulling timing, the added octane will prevent K.R. and maximize your performance.
To answer your question: No, 100 octane will not hurt your engine just your wallet.
If you wanted to try it out once in awhile, I would fill half with 100 octane and half with 91 octane and see how your car feels.

Mix the 91 and 100. I do a 10/5 gallon during the Phoenix summer and 9/6 the rest of the year. I'm e-forced and cammed, and had the car tuned at the 9/6 ratio.
So, running and average of ~94 octane and ~$5.00 overall per gallon cost. High but less than straight 100 for 15 gallons but fortunately for me, I don't buy more than that amount a month.
