P0106 code issues
I have a 2005 Coupe 6.0....with a damm P0106 code that i cant get figured out.
Syptoms:
1) from idle tromp throttle and bad dead spot, if i ease into it its fine...no missfires etc. Scan for codes P0106b
2) if i clear code and restart engine, it starts - stumbles alomost to stall out, then idles fine....give it hard fuel and it stumbles....code is back.
I have relaced intake gaskets, then changed the MAP itself...no good.
The MAP has a solid 5v reference voltage, good ground, and enginje off reads 4.7v. If i manualy apply voltage voltage drop is what it should be to the specific vaccuum.
This is really stumping me...any thoughts?
Oh i might add the engine itself is stock with the exception of a Twin open element air cleaner (previous opwner installed), it does have an aftermarket exhaust, but this just became an issue afte owning for about 5000 miles.
I know it's a MAP sensor issue.
Some new notes i might add.
1. Scan tool only reads 15 for MAP
2. When back probing the sensor (key on/ engine off), and using a vac pump, sensor reads correctly.
3. Engine running, and back probing the sensor, the reference voltage never changes from 4.9v no matter what..idle, part throttle, WOT. And supply voltage reads at 5.0v.
I have tried 3 MAP sensors so far, so i'm pretty sure the issue is not the sensors themselves. I'm thinking it may be in the pigtail, sue to the reading never changing.
Still looking for some insight on this one.

That small harness to the MAP and TB is notorious for broken wires. That is probably a good place to investigate. In a TSB (somewhere) the tech is instructed to clear codes, start the engine, then move the harness around to see if new codes are set. Typically it is the TB/TPS signal interrupted, but might be other wires in the harness too.
