So before I order a blower setup I wanted to ask about nitrous. I'm usually not a fan of it but I'm starting to think it may be decent for my situation. My car is an 07 A6 with a bar stage 2 cam, vararam, headers and full exhaust, no cats. The goal has been to get the car into the high 9's but I really enjoy driving the car and not overheating or having to spend tons on cooling mods and stuff like that. So I've been thinking of putting a 150 shot on it with a standalone cell and lnc box and an nos mini. I only plan on running the car at the track maybe 7 or 8 days a year and it's all 1/4 and 1/8 mile stuff. I don't do any roll racing.
What do you guys think the car would run with a 150 shot with c16 in the standalone and a yank pas 3400?
The other option is to go ahead with the a and a or ecs with meth and make 700 pretty easily and run sure 9's.
Is a 600 horse n2o car more likely to hurt parts than a 700 horse blower car?
NOS is just hard on a motor, if you go FI just put in a DeWitts rad with EOC and use redline water wetter and as little AF as possible for your area, My NA LS2 I can't get it over 174 on a 100 degree day running down the road, I also got the "black ice" coating on the rad. Roller rockers will also bring down oil temps, thus reducing engine temp, it also wraps around the tach faster!
the way mine sits now it runs down the road about 200 on a hot day and idles in traffic about 208. Mine has a vararam so I'm wondering how much more of the radiator is blocked by the intercooler than the vararam.

don't know a thing about the vararam? I have a K&N I'm running a 180 degree T-stat I used to run down the road with stock rad at 190 I can say nothing but good things about a DeWitts Rad. when in traffic and the fans come on I see the temp drop, that never happened before
