I'd love to hear an update.

Either way mine is getting tuned on Friday.

Here's my advice.

I would never use the intake you have for any reason.

Second, Modified MAF's are just as bad as BAD air intakes and will do nothing for you.

You should notice that NONE of my customers on this forum are complaining about surging or problems with my tunes.

My advice to EVERYONE is not to ***** nilly buy parts on the forum or the internet that "LOOK" like they might be good choices.

The VERY FIRST THING you should do is contact a reputable tuner (ie: ME ) and tell him what you want do do with the car....

And the second thing you should do it TAKE HIS VERY EXPLICIT ADVICE for what mods to make as only the TUNER actually

knows what is best for your car and what "TUNES WELL" with your setup....

Third thing is to HAVE THE TUNER TUNE YOUR CAR.

YOU HAVE MILLIONS of possible combinations with thousands of aftermarket parts.

VERY SIMPLE: Most of them are J.U.N.K. and won't help you a bit or at the very least not get you what you're after.

Again, ONLY the tuner knows what works and what works best....and trust him if he tells you to avoid a particular product.

You can't imaging how many people come to me on their hands and knees for help because "they tried EVERYTHING"....

EXCEPT talking to the tuner they are going to use and it's always amazing how simple it is to make everything work right

you YOU HAVE THE RIGHT PARTS MATCHED WITH THE RIGHT TUNER.

It's sad to see sooo many people suffering and wasting money with the wrong parts or the wrong tuner when they could be

enjoying their vehicle with a minimum of trouble and expense.

YES, there are BAD products sold on this forum and elsewhere and there are tuners who can't make it work right either.

We want to BE SURE THE CAR RUNS WELL and WE ALSO DON'T WANT TO WASTE A FORTUNE TRYING TO GET THERE....

CHOOSE WISELY.

Hey there..... Get this.... I pay good money for many years for the privilege of advertising here so forgive me

if I plug myself from time to time.

But, If I had a penny for every customer that called me with problems because of the trash parts they bought

or 3rd grader tunes or programmers they bought...... I could have retired YEARS ago.

So, before I retire from this field.... I'm gonna do my best to set people on the right path

wether they become my customer, or they are the millions of other that never ring my phone.

Hopefully, some of my "advertisements" educate people enough that they don't fall victim to all the JUNK out there.

Your pocket and your vehicle will always benefit from my advice.

Hate to say it but on this one Chuck is right. Talk to your tuner. Ask questions. If it's a Good tuner they have dealt with everything and can walk you down a good path. Most times.

Just a few days ago I was kinda having these same issues and went to my tuner.
My issues were more me and tire size than the tuners tune.

But I asked him some other questions about other possible mods I want to make. And he flat out told me don't waste my money not worth the money for the very little gains.

So talk to your tuner.
And for me personally I'd rather talk face to face with my tuner and have him drive and tune my car.
But that's me.

Well, I wish I could give an update that I found the source of my issue. However I installed a BTR stage 2 cam this week and the tuner was able to even out the idle. Perhaps that was the issue in the first place as Chuck suggested. I'm still going to hunt for a vacuum leak at the end of the intake manifold when I have it off next week.

468HP and 445 ft-lb is where I landed. I didn't have a number I was shooting for, just a good streetable car with a bit of extra kick.
