I have a 2008 corvette Z51 that almost won't crank after running for a while. some facts.....
I have a ZR1 exhaust on so it is difficult to replace the starter, must remove exhaust.
Off the battery reads 13.2 volts
running the battery reads 14.5 - 14.7 volts
connection + at the fuse box reads 14.5 volts
inside the DIC reads 14.2 volts
I replaced the solenoid last year and it is in good physical condition. I wrapped it when I installed it, terminals are Good.
It starts fine after it sits for a while, maybe an hour.
Turn the headlights on and start the car and the lights are good no dimming at all.
I switched around the fuses in the fuse box all that have anything to do with the battery (yes with same amp fuses).
has an AGM battery maybe a year old.
Any ideas on what to check next?
The relays in the fuse box are installed in different orientations, does this matter?
Best to have the starter checked for amperage draw when you are experiencing the hot start issue. Part stores can check it will you attempting to start the car, should be able to do the test for free.
While your there, have them also load test the battery.

Yes I will do that tomorrow, I would go tonight but it's raining. The battery is a 3 year free replacement, it's 2 years old, maybe it's something that simple. Thanx.
I do have it wrapped, wrapped it when I replaced the solenoid.
Thanx for your replies, I'm heading to Advance to let them test the starter and battery.
Well my 2 year old Duracell AGM with a Free 3 year replacement is bad.
It's a 660 CCA that clocks at 280 at 12.88 Volts. Back to Sam's Club for a Freebie . I'm glad it was that because I really didn't want to climb back under that car to replace the starter.
Double check to make sure your battery tender is rated for AGM batteries!!!!
Also to point out, since the OEM alternator is not the best to keep the battery topped off when the car is running (sitting at a stop light with the A/c running is going to drain down the battery since the oem alternator is only putting out about 14 amps then, while the car is pulling down around 30 amp), it's hell on the AGM's cycle life as well.
