Im in a bit of a pickle. Bought my 09 z51 a couple months back, and even completely stock, when shifting aggressively at high rpms the clutch would slip a little as it reengaged most noticeably when hitting 3rd and 4th. I never thought much of it and never did anything to fix. fast forward a couple months and i have done headers back, vararam and a healthy cam. While driving from colorado to kansas i noticed that when id jump on it in 3rd, once the revs were up around 5k the clutch would slip. luckily a buddy of mine with a z06 suggested checking/replacing the fluid. We opened up the master and fluid was low and looked like coffee. did the requisite ranger steps, took her for a test drive and VOILA problem solved. That night at the track, no slipping with RPM just in between shifts. pull back into the pits and coffee/fluid again. Since ive been back ive been trying to replace the fluid about once every week and always back to coffee.Everything was great with no slipping so threw on a wet shot and everything went great during tuning until the last pull when it sprayed and the clutch slipped. I wouldnt think the clutch would be completely toast yet as the car only has 20k miles but was wanting an opinion or any other similar experience before i just go and buy a new clutch and tick hydraulic setup. Thanks in advance
Its only a 150 shot, but at sea level on just the motor is does the same thing at high rpm so I'm disinclined to believe it just can't handle the torque
