Dose anyone know if they make a good blue tooth for a 2005 , C6?
I don't stream music etc. Just want one that turns down the radio and you can call out hands free. Any help would be welcome.

Check out the BluStarII by Costar. I have looked into these as they replace the OnStar module and it gives you BluTooth connectivity for your Cell Phone and uses the steering wheel controls or OnStar mirror head buttons to control the phone. It also uses the exisiting microphone and capability of the sound system or NAV unit.
I almost bought one but in the end didn't think it was worth it for me since our Vette isn't a daily driver and spends half the year in storage. This unit also works best with a full featured modern smart phone, one that responds to voice commands so to gain maximum benefit of the BluStarII I would have to upgrade my phone too.

I used isimple as it adds bluetooth to the original radio including streaming and cell phone.
Kawal is extremely knowledgeable.
Best is to contact him.
To retain all the OEM HUD functions, voice command etc my understanding is you can install a 2013 Nav unit and it contains a setup to install an IPhone. But not inexpensive.
Then with OEM On-star you can subscribe and buy phone minutes and making calls are all hands free.
Your going to pull the center column out of the car, pull the radio out, and then the 575 will plug into the factory radio wiring and mount behind the radio.
To pull the center console to get to the radio out,
Note, remove the a/c temp module below the radio first, then the last two screws on the radio plate are removed to pull the radio out.
Once you have it installed, and do not have OEM satellite radio installed in the car, find someone that has a clone Tech ii to activate the satellite radio channel in your oem radio (dealer will want $120 to do this with their tech II, and only take about 3 mins). The 575 works off the oem radios satellite channel, and if you car did not come with OEM satellite, then that feature needs to be turned on in the radio itself (via the tech II).
Take a look at FM transmitters or Bluetooth FM Transmitters which are available at amazon and I believe BestBuy. No modification needed just set the FM frequency to a a spectrum on your radio where there are not too many FM stations.
Some of these units have audio and USB inputs.

I have a 2005 Corvette and I run a pioneer CD DVD player with hands-free Bluetooth and it's perfect.
