Default cam selection

Trying to decide on a cam for an LS3
Previously had a slowhawk custom cam 231/239 +115, made a little over 500whp with headers. It was tuned well and I thought it was very driveable for a daily. The only thing I didnt like was having to rev it out.

Trying to decide between the BTR stage 2, stage 3 or the LPE GT12.
I dont mind making less than 500whp N/A if I can get some more low end torque. I plan on putting an A&A or ECS kit on next summer.

Anyone running these cams? Do they work well with a blower? How was drivability, gas mileage etc?

I would call BTR and or Lingenfilter and ask their opinion. From my understanding on the BTR stage 3 is a naturally aspirated cam, BTR does have boost friendly cams. I have no experience with the other cam you selected.

Ended up going with the BTR stage 3 blower cam 227/244 115+5 & all supporting upgrades.

BTR told me it can make around 500whp NA, and easily hit 700whp with not much boost. seems perfect for my goals. the videos i saw online were mostly other ls3 platforms, but they all had a nice sound to them.

Would you mind sharing the cost of parts?

here you go.. I already have a 25% underdrive & some other things or they would have been purchased from BTR too
Also got a Mcleod RST clutch & steel flywheel to replace the old Mantic. And a crank pin kit from ECS.

Nothing wrong with your original cam......I would've recommended gears (3.42 to 3.70)....but that's just me!
