hey all, I have an 07 ls2 m6. I have HPtuners and have used it in the past to remote tune my 2009 Cobalt SS Turbo with a reputable forum tuner. Familiar with the program, not familiar with tuning cars.
I was originally going to go with Shane Hinds since I hear nothing but good things about him, but his new policy of only tuning cars with his selected WB (AFR500) has thrown me off track as I have an aem gauge in garage.
Car is simply going to be header X pipe/ intake. Which I have yet to install. No internal work or no FI this summer.
I would take it to the local shop for a dyno tune but they don't have the best track record as I'm told, and remote tuning is much more convenient to my life.
That being said, can anyone recommend a reputable remote tuner?
was also thinking about going the diablo intune with a a custom diablew tune, but 550usd is steep being I already have hptuners. And not to mention he won't tune an aggressive cam or FI setup remotely.
This guy here David is a tuner who tunes tuners cars with any ECM brand
my 402 super charged '06 GTO was the test tune car for his graduating GM HP tuners class same car still holds top numbers at that GM tuning school dyno as far as I know to this day where he was the calibrator along side the instructor guiding the class.
Is the only calibrator who sticks around with you when you are having problems to help you solve them.
With only those minimal mods, unless you plan on racing between now and more mods, I wouldn't even bother with a tune yet. Hook up HPT and your WB for a baseline, then do the header/intake to see the differences. I doubt you'll go too lean, but then post your results on the scan & tune forum and/or the HPT forum and someone can lead you through the minor changes. When you decide to get serious with internal or FI, then get serious with a custom tune.
