Tpms sensors
I plan on going to the track in a few weeks, the dragstrip that is just to clarify. I plan on lowering my air pressure in the rear tires in the hopes of better traction and launch to reduce tire spin.
The concern I have is that one time I tried another set of wheels without a TPMS sensors in them, well, they were there but not programmed to my car. This resulted in the TPMS light and it would not allow me to put the car in competition mode or turn off traction control and active handling.
This time I will be using my normal wheels and tires but I want to lower the air pressure but not trigger the TPMS light which prevents me from going into the driving mode I want to use. So here is my question.
What is the lowest PSI in the rear wheels on a 2005 C6 Corvette that can be run without triggering the TPMS light? I think it is 25 psi but not sure.
Also, if it is 25psi, does that mean 25 is ok or 25 triggers it? So when posting please be specific like this please.
24psi is lowest, 23psi will trigger TPMS
Thanks in advance and this will really help me.
