Default Headers, worth it or not?

Guys, I have searched and read alot of older posts about gains from a set of headers so don't kill me for asking.
I have a 06 Z06 with Kohles package 4 heads milled .30 thousands, his ported msd and his 116 cam and put down around 530rwhp, would a good set of headers increase my rwhp #'s?, I know I will most lilely feel more torgue but what about hp gains?, will I add much and is the expense worth it for an all around street car that sees back roads and possible minor autocrossing ?
I value your opinions as a lot of you have tried different setups and know what does and does not help in certain situations.

It seems that the installers would have hinted around about installing headers. Headers and X pipe are kinda expensive, but people say with mods that they are worth it.
How much HP....? I had mine installed with the cam and other mods, but I'm sure that headers helped on the dyno pull.
You will get a better exhaust note, also.

It will gain power everywhere and sounds a lot better. If you have an exhaust with the valves you can really quiet it back down. I'd go for it.

In all honesty after just doing headers I don't know. After all is said and done my car sounds killer, is FASTER, of that I'm sure, how much ???
The cost of the mod was about $2500 with the dyno-tune, new plugs, MDS wires, DEI sleeves, Z-Cool tunnel shield, and we did the install which I would guess could add another $400-$600 if it were done by a shop. So all told, well you can add
But after doing it and if I cant kill this hankering for a cam mod it will be the lower brick any build, the first stepping stone so to speak, and a necessary one.
You may want to explore finding a used Z06 setup, I know where one is maybe going to become available soon

Not worth doing unless u do what not so fast did.
He did not mention a x pipe or exhaust though. It's a great help to get a larger exhaust attached to the headers so u do not get a choke point their.
I bet you would end up with at least 40 more hp.

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks. I've ordered 1 7/8 long tube KooKs and 3 inch X pipe and plan to install next weekend and then get a good tune.

I did the catted X-pipe but squeezed it down so I could keep my NPP, wouldn't have it any other way actually, best of both worlds

OP could consider used headers. I installed a set I purchased on here a month or so back for $700. I'm still not quite happy so BTR cam will arrive tomorrow and I'll still be in less money than a lot of new header setups.

Just an idea.

Edit: I should add the the headers made a considerable difference in the driving experience. I absolutely think they are worth adding, just not to the tune of $2k+ personally.

And now I see you mentioned used headers in your post as well. Long day of meetings and I'm sloooooow.

you did heads, intake, and cam before headers?
should have gone the other way around!

youve given the engine a huge ability to get more air in, but no way to get it back out.
yes youll see some niiiice gains with your mods especially.

check out TSP headers. quality without the price. research them. myself and many forum members run and love them.

Worth it in terms of HP? Absolutely.
Worth it in terms of your wallet? Only you can tell.

You can't have too much HP, but you can use more than needed sometimes. That's controlled by the right foot or a block under the pedal.
