Default C6 Fuel System

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a complete 2012 C6 drop out that I am installing into a custom application. In a stock LS3 such as this, the fuel pressure regulator is in the tank and it is completely mechanical regulator. There does not appear to be any pressure sensing in the fuel system for the purpose of cycling the pump on and off. My question is, does the fuel pump in this system run continuously? (I know the LS9 version utilizes a pressure control system and varies pump output accordingly. My system does not appear to be equipped with this.)

My plan is to utilize the stock fuel pump with after market external regulator/filter/return(58psi). I am trying to figure out the wiring to the pump. Right now it appears to me all I need is fused/ignition-on hot wire to the pump. Is this correct? Thanks much for replies.

Never mind, I found the answer. Yes, the pump runs continuously while engine is running. Apparently the ECM has a timer that kicks the relay off after predetermined time if engine is not running. Since I have all the harnesses and computers my wiring challenge is minimal.
