OK I have ( 2)- 2012 OEM navigation units , everything works on both except on both units when you hit the source button and FM1 AM, CD buttons etc. are shown the USB button does not light up ? Yes it has a USB plug in the back and yes I plugged in an OEM and another USB cable into the back, but the USB button does not light up.
Am I missing something or do both units have a problem ?
If you haven't already done it, I suggest posting your question in the Audio/Electronics Forum also. The really knowledgeable audio guys hang out there, might get a faster response. Good luck.

I think I answered your question in another post
You have to have something plugged into the USB port such as a memory stick formatted with music or an IPod/IPhone , then the button will light up . A Android phone will not work
ok thanks I tested the usb and it lights up like you said when plugged in, makes no sense to me but anyway I could not test the aux. because I have no late model ipod gadget . that button lights up with nothing plugged in , go figure? Thanks for the help.

No problem.... I am confident that the AUX will work
if you are installing the units in an earlier C6 you can get the AUX harness that you will need from Ray Kawel (u can Google his web page or email him ) he makes the AUX harness that have the factory pins on one end that you push into the factory connector and the other end you can get with a connector that plugs into the factory aux connector if u chose to go with a 2012 glove box or it can end in a 1/8 female mini jack that you can mount into your earlier glove box
The USB jack works well and the controls and music labels will display on the screen allowing you to control your stick or iPod / IPhone right from the radio or steering wheel controls....
Mine is a 2011 that did not come with the modified console bas so I had previously bought a extra storage device that has some cup holders and small storage that fits on the hump and on the rear of the console base, I then bought the gm usb cable and an extension also a gm usb plug from a gm vehicle . I drilled a hole in the storage device and neatly put the usb plug there.
