Im battling overheating in traffic (Manhattan traffic, not just sitting in traffic) and have changed pretty much everything.
My oem radiator was dirty and it wasnt cleaning up well so I did what I always do and put the dewitt radiator on.
There may be other issues such as tune but the oberheating didnt change a bit.
The dewitt slowed down the heating up process and the car wont reach 245 degrees until about an hour or so.
This is with the a/c on only.
Has anyone actually had the oem radiator, gone to a thicker radiator then back to a thinner core radiator and seen the difference?
Theory is good but this is too much time and expense to theorize.
I have the D3 fans and they pull allot of air but still not keeping it cool.
did you change the thermostat? or did you leave it out? my LS2 with DeWitts and waterwetter under speed can't get it over 176 I got an 180 stat in it. in traffic it still goes 205 but nothing like with the stock rad. I got the EOC too so it's dealing with the oil temp too brought that down 20 degrees too
