Before I get the ole "this has plenty of threads" answer I obviously didn't find what I needed. So I am about about to buy a Megadeath cam 244/242 on a 112 LSA w/ .612/.610 lift and yes I do know this is a big cam. What supporting mods do I need it's pretty much stock engine with full bolt ons. It's the ls2 version of the C6, heads are bone stock. The kit comes with Trend 7.400 chromemoly pushrods and Brian Tooley Racing .660 dual springs. What else do I need I am dumb when it comes to the valvetrain. Thanks !
Hey Thomas if it only cost you 40. and I did every thing you want will you be willing to pay it? I'm and that's what i do cause you can't beat it!
I have an ls3 with 14.1 compression and 240 degrees duration intake @ .050 is a llsr shift points at 7,200 and is a little on the large side.
My suggestion get a hold of Patrick G fill out his long questionnaire take as much time as you need and get the perfect cam for your purpose, Oh and will do more than you ask, here's hint don't change any thing from the proposal specs Just trust him I should have.
Hope this helps is what every body in competition does cause changing a cam is a lot of money a lot of work and down time so what's not to like to get it rite the first time.
Let us know how it went & get us in on the specs if you don't mind enclose is a link.
I use these guy for every engine i build and wouldn't do it any other way, best regards Dave.

For a stock head LS2, I would try something like the Spinmonster cam, which has been tried and proven to make serious power.
Or better yet, as suggested by xBoostx, contact Pat G and get him to spec you cam based on what you want.
Thank you! Probably the direction I need to go since I have no clue what I am doing haha
I am going with PatG myself and I took my time filling in the whole questionnaire. I have my specs now and I am having Texas Speed doing the Cam Grind -
By far this is the best way to go, you won't be disappointed at all -

I as well went with a custom grind from TSP off their new Landis LT1VE once I did my research and got the specs that I was looking for; I can't wait to get my heads from AHP so I can install, tune, and dyno it all. I suggest you go with the 8620 core as it's only like $50 more.

How long did it take you do get the specs? I am filling out a questionnaire now.
If you want a car that is very tempermental, surging idle that requires your attention to keep it idling, and a mediocre power increase - this sounds like a great plan.
If you want a car that has a very pronounced lopey idle that also is rock solid reliable idling as well as a strong running engine you should take the advice of everyone here. A spinmonster grind or something in the low 230s intake/mid 230s exhaust/mid 600 lift- 8-12 deg overlap would do the trick.

Since I was not in a rush I opted for the $25 wait -
It took 12 days to get my specs to be exact - August 4th, 2017 to August 16th, 2017
When I Paypal'd the money and Spec sheet to PatG that very night he got back to me as follows: 8:39 PM California time and PatG answered at 9:39 PM California time according to my emails.

So went through a few different variations, if I'm reading that correctly?

Nah - I submitted it on August 4th and he got back to me immediately (which was awesome in its own rights) - just showing a time frame how quick he got back to me after I Paypal'd -
Then it took the 12 days to get the actual specs -
I just placed my order with Texas Speed and got other things for the Cam Swap from them very reasonable too -Talk with TSP if you decide to go with them to grind the Cam for the supporting parts -
Thanks for the info. I've looked it over all day and got all info I was not sure about off the interwebs. Will submit it tomorrow and see what happens!
