C6 dash cd player.
Suddenly getting message that "no cd present" even when one is. Tried different cd, tried cleaning and problem still comes and goes. Do I need to replace the entire nav system? This would be the second time. Last time, unit would not receive AM or FM. This C6 has only 26k miles. I'm disappointed in this car's quality vs my C5.

Do a search about this...I had a similar issue and started a thread about Nav unit disassembly.
I'd bet if you remove the unit and get to the CD reading lens and clean the lens you will be good as new.
