Default Hatch struts

there is a metal band which holds the hatch struts in place. One they are removed, how do they go back on? I’m having a tough time.

if its not going back in easily, I believe the strut is not properly seated on the ball.

They just snap back into place - Ahrmike is right - if they don't go back on easily, try readjusting the strut.

Maybe a bit of WD-40 to make the clip slide on easier
