I have been to Sandy Sansing Chevrolet in Pensacola Fl more then 10 times with my 2008 Corvette. And it's still not fixed. The brake lights are staying on. Then when I press the gas and get up to 4000 rpm my traction control light comes on. I noticed yesterday when someone was in my passenger seat it triggered the brake lights.
Welcome to the Forum!
Unfortunately, I don't have any C6 service manuals to check wiring, but assuming the C6 has a brake light circuit board there may be a problem with it. Any changes to the car before the brake lights started staying on?
Does the traction control light come on at 4000rpm in all gears or only as you're accelerating through and changing gears? Is the DIC reflecting any codes?
Try checking the blue plugs at the fuse box in the passenger footwell. These are known to become loose and cause problems, though not yours specifically.
I'd recommend disconnecting the battery, then disconnecting and reconnecting those two plugs and see if it helps.
As posted above, this unit may have something to do with you issue.
It's called the BCM, body control module. Make sure that they are attached. They can also be dirty or corroded so you may want to take them apart to inspect them. Pull back the carpet from the top of the passenger foot well area to reveal this unit.
The dealership said it's a short in the BCM. I told them this 2 yrs ago now they want to charger me $1600 to replace it. Every time I had someone in the passenger side they brake lights started to act up. 😡

RUN do not walk, away from that dealership they will mess you up and rip you off. Sandy tried to rip me when I had my C5
Go over and talk to Leo and Leo's corvette on W street, he and his crew is very good at working out these problems.
