Default TPMS Accuracy Question

I keep close tabs on the PSI in our tires. C6, wife's Chevy and my Buick all have TPMS that are a couple of PSI less than my tire gauges read. I use a recently purchased digital gauge and also have an older analog dial gauge. The DIC always shows a different PSI on each vehicle than that of my gauges. Is this common? Dealer says the TPMS is very accurate (+/- 0.5). Your thoughts please.

Johnson Controls makes a large number of TMPS senders, and they say it's + or - 1 psi.

Mine have always been 1 or 2 psi off. Good enough to tell if there is a problem but if you want accuracy just use a good gauge on cold tires.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'm okay using my tire gauge to fill the tire and the TPMS as a backup warning.
