Default OBD Port Not Working.

I have a 2005 that's been cammed and full bolt ons. Got a decent tune on it before the cable shorted out. Went back to finish everything a few weeks later and HP tuners will not connect to it. Neither will a normal code reader. Anybody else have this issue or a solution?

Same thing happened on my Silverado, and it turned out that the cigarette lighter fuse was the same one powering the OBD port. I had popped the cig lighter fuse on accident, thus resulting in a failure-to-read OBD when I went for an inspection. I located and changed the fuse, all is well. Maybe start there...

Haven't heard that one yet I'll definitely have to check it. I was leaning towards bcm or ecm. But couldn't imagine the car running and driving without issues if one of them were bad especially the ecm.

Check theres power on the pin that should have power. Also check that the ground pin has ground. OBD2 port pin out:

Disconnect the battery for a few min then reconnect it. I had a similar issue with my truck a few years back.
