Default Horn replacement price hack $27

I made the mistake of spraying water under the hood to clean and filled the horns up with water, shorting them out, blowing the fuse and scaring me a bit with a "service charging system" dic message. Searched the forum and found the solution for the message and replaced the fuse.

Not interested in spending $70+ on new horns. I did not want to splice wires etc. I had the bright idea to search amazon for acdelco 400 500 gm horn and came up with a number of options with the same Connector. There are various horns with different angles and the same connector. I chose ACDelco D1947F GM Original Equipment 400 Hz and 500 Hz Horn. The connector location on the actual horn can limit orientation. I chose this one so i could orient the horns in way that water would not get in them. If lived in a wet area i might have considered the more protected horns. But did not know if that would affect the sound.

Swapped the new horns on the corvette bracket and installed. Saved $45+ bucks.
