Going to put the car up for 5-months. Have water proof fleece lined cover. Will be in a non-heated building with concrete floor.
I plan to park it on a tarp to hopefully block moisture from the concrete floor.
Slight open windows for some ventilation to passenger compartment.
Hood closed sitting on stop allowing leads from battery maintainer to exit motor compartment and run down side of car to the maintainer unit.
Run a ceiling fan 24/7 to circulate air.
I have already used stabilizer in fuel and tank will be 1/2 full+. I have already driven it to insure stabilizer throughout system.
Any other suggestions appreciated since this is the first car stored in such an environment.
Any thought on using a battery maintainer as opposed to battery removal. This is a convertible, so I would lower windows before disconnecting battery and re-indexing them next spring.
close the windows, you could run the extension cord out along side the motor, don't waste the $ on the fan. learned something when I lived in South Dakota, those dirt barn floors, best thing for car storage. Concrete causes condensation under a vehicle IF IF you put a cover over it that does not BREATH. use a plain cheap sheet to cover the car with. mouse traps or DECON if you have mice around.
I prefer to fill the tank. More surface that is covered, the less chance condensation will form with temperature swings.
I keep my garage about 45 deg and haven't had an issue just filling the tank (no stabilizer) and parking it.

I am hoping that the fleece liner on the cover helps with the breathing--I may add a sheet also. The Decon is probably wise. When I got my boat and stored it outside, the dealer placed a couple of small mesh bags containing mothballs on the floor. I asked why and he said to ward off mice. Once open in spring, never smelled the odor from them and never had a mouse problem either??? I suspected the possibility of condensation from the concrete floor although I have never seen any. Maybe because I am in the building quite often since I park my truck in it behind where the car will be and that may lessen the condensation accumulation. I might consider running the cord idea.

somehow you will never see it, but I've seen motorcycles with plastic draped over them in the spring ALL the chrome is rusted
