Is there a way to pull the pulley off the power steering pump without removing it and the rest of the front end of the engine?
I had the leaking pressure hose replaced and afterwards started to get wobble on the pulley. The center post does not show wobble, it's the outer edge only.
your probably overthinking it then, A pulley will all wobble or not, if it's just the out side then the lip is out of round and your just overthinking it. if the belt tracks you should be good to go, if the pulley AND the center shaft are wobbling, your going to have to replace the whole thing any way. I'm in Auburn PM me if you come up this way. I'll look at it and you can stare at mine. maybe I'm missing something.
The center shaft runs true. It is only the outer edge that wobbles. It chirps the belt really bad so it needs to be replaced before any road trips.
The shop that replaced the pressure hose is going to replace the pulley. They damaged it when they replaced the hose. They won't admit it but are going to split the labor cost.
