Poly motor mount install
It's a 2006 MN6 LS2 I don't think it would be any different for the others. Did I mention I have the "sickness"? After reading a post on another thread yesterday. I went to bed thinking about installing a set of Hinson poly motor mounts. I've probably had them for two years on the shelf waiting for the perfect time to put them in, Because I always thought it was a PITA having to drop the rack and remove the exhaust and have 2 jacks Yada yada yada. I was wrong. I have the car up on my quick jacks{wish I had them ten years ago} waiting for my Kooks headers to arrive, {I have a post all it's own whenever they get here?} So the exhaust IS removed, I got up this morning and googled it looking for a vid and found one, in this one you just jack up on the motor gently and take out the 3 bolts that hold the motor mount to the side of the block on each side, IT WORKS! Did one at a time and wa-la done in about an hour. I think it could be done by just removing the cats but the guy in the vid took out the manifolds too, if you were really patient you might be able to do it with every thing together, but the guy in the vid tried but then just removed the exhaust, it is just so nice to have the quickjacks this job and the header install pays for them alone
