Default brake lines busted while driving... need help finding replacement.

My brake line busted today as I was driving 40 mph down the road... brake pedal went to the ground. Was wondering if anybody in here knows the "official" name of this brake line or has a part number so I can buy a new one asap and get this car back up and running. Also where to buy it from? Maybe the dealership? Any aftermarket places? I believe it's one of the brake lines that run from the master cylinder to the ABS unit. Below are a few pictures of it. Red arrows pointing towards the leaking area.... Any help and/or input is greatly appreciated.

Here you go,

https://www.wholesalegmpartsonline.c...category=19497

Looks like part#103302881 that that goes for about $35, but go back and search by your correct model to double check If the part number is the same for your car type. You stated Z, and guessing Z51 option only with auto transmission (via the pulley on the alternator}, would prevent it from being a Z06/ZR1 instead.

Manual transmission alternator pulley,

Auto trans alternator pulley with clutch system,

And FYI, when you change the brake line and go to bleed, will need a Tech II to cycle the ABS pump to bleed the last air out of the lines. If you don't own a Tech II yet (or can get your hands on one), then time to start looking at picking up one of the clones.

What's with the automatic transmission alternator ( clutch type pulley) on the motor then?

P.S, check the part number for a z06, and still the same part number 10330281.

I have no idea, maybe they put that in when they dropped the 440LSX engine?
Beats me

Old thread, but the same line (MC to ABS) failed on my 08Z last month.
in my case it was at Mosport into T5 at about 100mph. There was actually some slowing before the pedal went to the floor…so maybe 70mph. I put the car slideways into the uphill right hander and kept it on track.
Very strange failure …nothing near it to abrade it

and this was the eBay replacement…also abraded somehow, but on the opposite side.

I ended up returning that one and found another locally that was ok.
very strange failure and not something I’d ever expect or be looking for.
just thought I’d share

Stock brake line? If so no wonder? Time for SS braided Teflon lines. Google it and pick the one you want. If your tracking a lot heat shields are in order. Same with synthetic high temp brake fluid
