Check out the ECS and A&A systems. IMO they are far superior to the PC system and cost less.
Downside is weight over front end, cooling issues in hot weather, increased wear/tear on car, increase maintenance, and all the issues associated with higher horse power.

I would recommend a complete kit, purchasing a kit here and head unit there runs up the price substantially. I personally do not see the benefit in it. Naturally I'm biased to the ECS kit, I think it speaks for itself, but with either the ECS or the A&A you are going to get a better bang for the buck IMHO.
Agreed, my 1st choice would be a normal off the shelf ECS novi 1500 kit. Easy, proven reliable 800-850rwhp capable and just works.
A&A with Ti trim would be #2 choice. Followed by A&A or ECS kit with D1X. Yes they work great but I don't see the extra cost worth it if you are only going for <800rwhp, and if you want more, just spring for a Ysi/2200.
I have a neighbor lives down the street from me runs a procharger f1a setup on his c7 gs.I swear it sounds like a jet engine when he start it up and drives it.lol A&A here with a v7 ysi set up.
I have a 2012 GS ... Looking to put a Pro Charger on it ...
What if any are the disadvantages ?? Noise inside Car ??
If you really want to go supercharged, call Procharger, ask about their F1C kit and now I can tell you what I love about their unit, I have two vettes and both are Procharger kits, F1X and a F1A, their kits are self oil contained, no oil lines running to the unit, oil change requires every 5000k miles which is very easy to do, drained and refill, their units has interchangeable pulleys which can be easily done, the company is reputable and they stand behind their product.
My advice is go on their website and read about their products, call them and ask any question you're not quite sure about and them make your decision, I believe because its your car and you have to live with your decision, it should be you making the final decision and not a shop, remember the shop is in business to make money, so think twice before making your final decision.

Do the same thing with paxton/vortech then. All the things he said about the PCs applies to them too. So easy oil changes, low maintenance, support, etc is nearly the same.
