Default What’s this plug?

I’m replacing my headlight lenses and came upon this disconnected plug on the passenger side by the horns/headlight/temperature sensor. Anybody know what it’s for and where it goes? Car is a 2006 Z51 C6. Thanks!

Do you have a light under the hood? It could be the wire for that.

Do you mean the light on the hood itself that illuminates the engine bay? I do and funny enough it doesn’t work.. but the cable would never reach that high

the harness from the hood light would plug into that.... trace the harness from the hood light down.

I should be connected to the side of the raditor,

P.s, for later vets that did not come with the hood light, they first clipped the connector to the raditor and installed a cover on it, then at some point, they stop clipping to the side of the raditor all together.

I have a 05 that came with the light, but since I don't have the light connected to the connector, scored a cover from someone with a later vet that was installing a hood light kit instead.
