C6 Changed Batt, Car Starts but Anti Theft is Locked
Hello.
My 2005 Coupe (LS2) would not start after 10 days of inactivity. I had to use the manual key to access the trunk to then open the door and then open the hood. I attempted to charge the battery but two chargers were ineffective so I replaced the battery. The horn honked one time when I connected the negative terminal on the new battery. The doors now open and the car starts using both FOBs but the anti-theft light comes on and remains on while car is running.
Car even shifts into gear but will not drive because I believe the anti-theft system has locked the car down, similar to the parking brake being engaged, but the parking brake latch/handle is not engaged.
I have put both FOBs in the glove compartment in hopes of resetting but no luck. I have also held the FOB ON/OFF down for 10 seconds (along with other FOB button combinations) which did not help.
Any ideas on how to reset the anti-theft system or do I need to tow it to the dealer?
Thank you in advance for any insights?

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If the car starts it should be drivable. The antitheft system does not lock the car down and nothing needs to be programmed. If the alarm is activated when you reconnect the battery pushing the unlock button on the fob should stop it and the light on the dash should turn off.
