Anyone have a btr stage 1 cam?
I知 looking to see if anyone here has a btr stage 1 cam for an LS2 car. I知 looking to see what kind of gains you got, how it performes, and how you like it over all for a daily?
The setup I知 going to have after it痴 all done is an LS2 with the btr cam, worked 243 heads, all the bolt-ons, an fti 3800 triple disc, and a little nitrous to help (150 small shot and 225 for the big).
Thanks
dicky

All BTR cams work good. One of the best in the industry.
He can't just jump to a stage 3 or huge cam because autos will need a converter/etc. Stage 1 will be a great upgrade. But since he has a converter, any stage from 1-3 would work fine.

My LS2 A6 car has a similar cam to Brian's stage 1.
With all supporting mods and stock 243's it made 420/420 through a Yank ss3600. The car ran very well but I had a set of TFS220's from a previous build unused. Once thee were installed the car made 460/460.
The cam is an old comp grind and has been in the car since 2008-2009. 223/231 113

I've contemplated replacing with the stage 2 as I'm fairly confident would be very similar to the current cam with same idle characteristics. My compression is now at 11.1 which could use a but more duration, thus moving my powerband up.
As stated above even the stage 3 is not much drastically different than my current cam. Couple years back I got a wild hair to build a WS6 T/A and used the stage 3 with TFS 205's and boy that car was beastly.
In the end decide what you want. I'm 40 now and as I get older even the mildest of camshafts deminish my want to daily drive. Give me smooth and comfort for that task.

222/230 114+4 with AI 243 heads and bolt on's. This is an M6, LS2 car.

Nice numbers for both of y’all. Looks like I can count on about 450. My setup is gonna have a little bump in compression, a meth kit, and swapping back down to 2.73 gears, so that should help get my numbers up a little through the auto. It should run pretty good when I get it done! I use to run 10.9/11.0s with about 400 rwhp, I’m hoping to get some 10.6/7s now.
