Default Input on TSP Headers

So I am looking to add a set of long tubes to my 05 base. I have read some good, some bad on the Texas Speed headers. The price is hard to beat. Any input from those who have them or had them?

Got a set a few months back. Pretty good quality everything went on pretty easy only complaint is the driver side headers definitely hangs low. I had already scraped it a few times on my driveway. I’ve figured out the angle now to make sure it doesn’t happen but if i had to do it all over again I’m on the fence on If id go tsp again. Think I’d lean towards Hinson as it looks as they sit higher

there's a red bar at the top of this page w. word "search." click on it and go to "advanced search". in left box, type "tsp headers". don't even have to select what year or section. just hit "enter." lot of threads on it.

but real world may be as poster said: hangs low on driver's side.

still, that can vary from car to car even same model and year, and each set of headers can be slightly different as they come out of manufacturing--that can be the case, too. and if both happen at the same time, it can make for just enough variation to be a problem in one car, and no problem in another.

Mine sit low on the driver’s side as well. I’d pick a different brand/manufacturer if I could do it over again.

For $100 more, you could get some Hinsons that fit better without breaking the bank.
Just food for thought.

I have personal experience with TSP and ARH headers. Here are my thoughts.

For the price, TSP performs very well. For me, fitment was poop. I had to do so much for them to not rub on the car, driver primary hangs low (ended up rubbing a hole into it), and slip joints leaked.

As far as power output, they produce pretty bad low end power but from ~3k up, they were as good or better (in some areas) than my ARH headers, until around ~6200rpms where the ARH peaked higher and further. The ARH made 30-40 more HP and TQ in the low RPM, where you would be for daily driving. It was a very significant difference that I noticed right away when I swapped to the ARH headers.

If you just want headers for sound and a little more power, go with TSP. If you have a max effort setup, go with ARH.

I'd go with JBA before TSP if price were a factor. If money isn't a concern, ARH, LG, Kooks in that order.

pity that Speed Engineering doesn't make C6 headers. They make C5 and Fbody. great price, great product
