Clutch/Driveline Issue
Hey guys,
Wanted to get some opinions on what might be wrong with my car.
I was driving home yesterday and the clutch pedal started to feel stiff. I pulled the gear shift into neutral and tried to put the car back into gear and it would not go into any gear. So I had to drive the car home slipping into each gear without using the clutch at all and shutting the car off at stops/red lights otherwise it would stall.
When i got the car home I changed the clutch fluid (fluid was a bit dirty and low) using the ranger method and the results are the same. I then took the driver wheel off and opened the access panel to take a look at the master cylinder. The master cylinder looks fine (ie. no leaks that I could see)
I'm hoping it's the master cylinder, but since the pedal is stiff instead of soft.. I'm thinking it might be the slave cylinder.
The car has a Mantic twin disc setup in it with a stock GM master cylinder.
Anyone have any thoughts or similar issues?
