C5 rear wheel on C6 front

C5 rear wheel on C6 front
so i am in the market for new wheels for my c6 as i am doing the wide rear end conversion. While looking at some zr1 replica wheels i noticed that the c5 spec in the rear is the same offset as the c6 base model fronts but are 1 inch wider so they would sit 1/2 closer to the fender and 1/2 inch closer to the inner fender. so i am wondering if anyone has run the c5 spec wheels on the front of a c6 so that they are closer to being flush with the fender? pics of any cars like this?
C5 rears: 18x9.5 +56
