Recaro for Corvettes
You might already know this, but if you didn't. I don't know any more about these than what the article says, but Recaro will be selling seats specifically designed for C5/C6/C7 Corvettes in March of 2018.

I retired from the company that owns Recaro. They already had the designs done because they had quoted the C6 and C7 production. The owner of Recaro is the largest seat supplier to GM.

Joe has them in his car. Next time you are around the shop just sit in his car. Nice seats, and price is right.

I'll be there Sunday too. The corbeuas are less than that for two with brackets...

Less than 1/2 the price.

I've had A4 seats in mine for a couple of years. You have to swap sides for the installation so reclining control in inboard, but everything fits fine. If I had to do it again I would go with suede, leather isn't holding up as well as I would like where it rubs when you get in and out of the cockpit.

suede doesnt hold up as well as regular leather in my experience. it begins to ball up.

This thread really ignited something in me as I REALLY dislike the current seating position in my car. enough so that I went and removed my old Sparco seats to see what I could possibly work out to replace them.
I don't have a huge budget, $1500 tops for the pair with brackets and all.
I don't mind fixed, if it still looks a bit streetable and has a bit of recline to it.
I do track a small bit and have 5 point harnesses and all that. But need to be able to comfortably take the wife to dinner and wear normal seatbelts.
Suede type leather is a 100% requirement.
Any suggestions?
