Wide body question

I can’t find the answer to this anywhere. If converting to wide body on a standard car do you have to change the front bumper cover?

A couple have force-fit the base cover to the wider front fenders. However, with anything more than a glance you can tell it doesn't match up quite right.

The correct way is to replace the base cover with the GS/Z06/ZR1 cover.

That’s the answer I was looking for. I would definitely want to do the correct bumper cover. Thank you 96GS!

There are some vendors here that make widebody fenders to fit the base bumper as well.

Coming from someone with a bit of experience in this, I'd say just to go all OEM if you have the means.

The short answer is yes you need to replace the front fascia for it to look right.

I didn't do the wide front fenders just went with a Ecklers Z nose for base front fenders.
