Default Bought a C6

I bought a 2006 c6, from what I can see it has a magnaflow exhaust, how is the magnaflow for performance? I think the car also has a cold air intake.

Cat back after market exhaust it all about sound, and if it did allow for HP gains, would be so minimal, it really would not mater.

As for Cold air intakes, they do not gain you HP in general, but preserve the HP the motor is making, by not allowing the motor to suck in hot air from the engine compartment; which causes the motor to retard timing due to the hot AIT's instead.

You probably do have a few extra HP from those two mods. The NPP exhaust gives 6 on LS3 cars, and I'm sure the Magnaflow is a freer flowing design over the OEM NPP. Also the OEM LS2 air intake is a turd and the majority of aftermarket intake kits do see gains albeit small.

Congrats on the Corvette!

I remember when Magnaflow originally released that exhaust system and Mario's tv commercial for it.they had a few of the auto magazine's at the shop to dyno with stock and Magnaflow system.they were a little embarrassed when the Magnaflow made about 7 rwhp less than the stock system.they did sound good though. In the commercial Mario said he likes to hear the power.I had the Magnaflow on one of my F-bodies and loved the sound of it
