Default Meth and Nitrous

I have a C6 GS with an A&A supercharger, long tube headers and methanol injection kit by snow performance. What I would like to know is, has anyone out there every ran a small shot of nitrous with methanol? It sounds like overkill but with a small shot no more than 100 on an progressive system is this possible.

Here is my thinking nitrous like methanol helps to cool the intake temperatures so running it methanol should offer some unique cooler temps and aid in knock control as long as I don't throw too much timing. I want to get 700rwhp out of my car and right now I'm not to far from it. With the nitrous I'm thinking it would make up for the 75hp shortage.

if anyone has run this setup I would love to hear about it.

Yes, you can. I have a buddy that makes 750whp on an s-trim centri w/ meth and 800whp on a 50 shot.

Nos like methanol, not no, but hell no.

Meth mix is used for cooling and to prevent detonation due to the higher compression since the higher the pressure goes, the higher the octane rating you need to the fuel.

So under boost, your dealing with an air density of of 78% nitrogen, and 20 percent oxygen that stays constant for the pressure increase isntead.

Nos, is used to increase the amount of oxygen in the mix of the air itself (higher oxygen to nitrogen ratio ), and with with a higher percentage of oxygen/lower percentage of nitrogen, you get a hotter (less nitrogen that helps with cooling) and more powerful burn isntead.

So the only real question I have, are you maxed out on what the blower will produce in pressure with safe guard Meth kit in play, and the reason for looking for the Nos shot to get you the last 50hp instead?

First of I just want to say THANK YOU!!! I've talked to several shops and they say that my theory is good I should try it just introduce NOS a little at a time. So got it, thanks for laying that out that was the critical information that I needed. So to answer your question YES! My current setup maxes out at 775rwhp. It's an A&A Si supercharger on an LS3. I will be adding an additional external fuel pump and the appropriate amount of meth to support but I'm still shy of about 25hp to break the 800hp mark. I figured a 50 shot of NOS would take me to the 800 mark. But after reading your reply seems like I NOS will add more heat to the setup. Not sure if I'm willing to take that chance. Maybe dumping more methanol is the key but I would have to do my homework first on that first. I'm about to install a cam and since I will have everything apart I was going to wire in the NOS also. My build is a street/track setup. My HP goals are a little aggressive but if I will be in the 775rwhp range I figured I would make it a cool 800. Who knows maybe the cam will be the answer to the NOS. It will have to be dyno'ed first
