Default GS Brake Pad Replacement

Going to go from padlets to single pads. Have read several threads, still not sure if you use the padlet clips if going to single pads. Some threads said their single pads came with out any clips others say used the padlet clips from the oems padlets, others say you don't need clips with single pads.

Any help from some one who made the switch on the GS brake pads would be appreciated.

I just put single piece, StopTech pads into the Z06 calipers on my car and you do NOT need the clips. The Caliper Pins keep the single pads aligned.

If going to Carbotech 1 piece pads the factory clips work and I suggest using them.

The Carbotech 1 piece pad will drop right into the caliper and you don't have to take out the caliper pins or spring clips. The spring clips are critical in keeping the brake pad square to the rotor surface and ensuring that the pads slide smoothly along the pins. The spring clips also assist in reducing the noise inside the caliper.

I went Carbotech 1-piece and reused the metal clips. Padlets are a stupid design, IMO.
