Default C6 Side Spears, anyone had luck removing?

My thought is a heat gun. They are stick on. Anyone have experience or opinion? Rather leave on then mess up the paint. Thanks in advance.

try fishing line. i pulled the body molding off my truck years ago and it left some double sided tape on the truck but with work it all came off and didn't hurt the paint.

good luck

Be careful using heat gun, you can mess things up quickly. Over the weekend I removed a chrome Corvette insert on the rear bumper that the previous owner installed. I opted to use my wife's hair drier instead of my heat gun. I kept my hand close to the paint and if it got hot enough to where my hand was to hot I removed the heat. Worked like a charm.

Mine had a slightly different style on them when I bought it. The grill is a separate piece that (I haven't removed yet) is installed inside the quarter panel. The spears and edge trim were individual pieces held on my some heavy duty 3M sticky tape. I have a 2006 so God knows how long they had been on there. A couple popped right off, but the others were stuck like a mother f*cker and one even pulled a few chips of clear coat with it. Goo gone helped clean up the remaining residue and I touched up the clear coat with a couple drops of clear nail polish as recommended by a reputable local body shop.

Might want to pull the rear wheel well covers for the front tires to get inside the fenders, and make sure that those are not bolted in place from the inside of the fender instead.
