Change the cam the springs lifters I would recommend changing oil pump while you are there to Melling P# 10355 and perhaps the harmonic dampener if still on the factory unit.
I guess what I'm saying is the heads are more important push rods and trunions are done from the top with out removing the heads so can be done later.

Trying to decide if I should get heads worked since they will be off for lifters. If I do heads and need fuel injectors the budget will be eaten up I don't know if the balancer is the stock unit or not. Purchased this c6 with 92k miles.

I will be selling my 60# Deka injectors soon if interested? Made 600whp with them...still running great in car now.
It doesn't sound like you've already done the purchase of anything, so you might consider using stock LS3 heads rather than spending $$$$ to rework the LS2 ones. If you choose that path, be sure to spec a cam for that mod. BTW, the LS3 heads require LS3 compatible IM.
