2006 A6 transmission shifting issues

I have had my 2006 A6 vert since January. 87K miles when I bought it. I have put about 3K miles on it. I've noticed that the transmission action is pretty "squishy" during normal acceleration, and when driving in urban stop and go traffic between lights. Typically revving up between the lower gears and not upshifting crisply into the next gear.
I did not know if the 50K mile transmission fluid and filter change was done, so I did that myself last week, hoping that would make the tranny operate more crisply. The fluid was still pink-ish and the pan was clean (no debris). Now that I've put a hundred miles on it since the service, but it didn't really help the tranny operation. Still pretty squishy and revs between gear changes.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Can anyone point me to forum history on this issue? Thanks in advance!!

Guys - I just spent several minutes reviewing the thread on the Vitesse Throttle Controller and the lag and squishiness I'm experiencing is described by several posters in that thread. I guess my A6 is operating just as programmed by GM...
