Default Carbotech single pad install

I installed the single pad Carbotech 1521s on my 2012 GS today. Initially trying to replace all the padlets with single pads was a pain. I thought I would have to remove all the guide pins for the install. Instead, I removed the spring clips, installed the pad with the pins in place, then reinstalled the spring clips. You do have to be sure that the clips are seated properly though. Not a big deal, but make sure you get it right. I noticed that there aren’t any wear indicators on the pads, so they won’t make any noise to alert you when they are low. Just gotta keep an eye on them. Took the car for a drive and bedded them in, and they seem to work great. Smooth, quiet, and good stopping power. I’m going to wash the car tomorrow and clean the wheels, then I’ll get a good idea about dust.

Since the install I’ve driven to SC via The Dragon. Brakes are great, good stopping power, no fade, and not much dust. I’m quite happy with them!
