I picked up a NPP axle-back off a 2011 GS that I want to put on my base manual 2006 (my 16 yo son says my car sounds like a vacuum cleaner and I need an exhaust). I understand the midpipe to axleback interface changed in '09. Do I just need a '09+ midpipe to install it? Will an '09 midpipe fit right up to my stock LS2 cats?
Also, I guess I need a "NPP in a Box" type controller. Any suggestions? Could I just DIY this with a switch and solenoid valve?
I did the same thing on mine, 06 car with 2010 GS Npp. But, I have headers and mid-pipe for the 09-13 cars. It all bolted right up. You should be able to put the 09+ midpipe on as you said.
I also bought the NPP in a box and hooked it up. Easy install other than connecting vacuum line to back of intake. Works off key fob they send with kit.
