Default Drive line failure

Just got my Supercharge 2 days ago, Cleaned the car up for a show today and last night I Dumped the clutch in 2nd rolling 30 mph. After about a second loud pop and then clanking noise. Engine is fine but car will not move. When in gear with clutch out clanking noise continues. Torque tube connector maybe? Pushing 710 RWHP I suppose it could have broke anything back there. Suggestions on where to start.
Thanks,

Check the diff for cracks in the case, since the diff is the weak link on the vets.
Hence torque causes the pinon gear to force the ring gear way from it, and this will split the case.
Note, the 05 had the weakest diff case, the later year cases had more internal ribbing added to them to strengthen the cases, but even the newer case as still not strong enough to take a ton more torque before they crack as well.
To add, wheel hop will really kill a diff case faster. Hence if you did a second gear dump/full throttle with the amount of hp you have, the rear tires broke free/started to wheel hop, and will bank that you grenade the rear diff.

Or may have lucked out, and just snapped a shaft, instead of cracking the case.

If you screws up something in the torque tube (split a coupling), the noise is going to change with RPM speeds isntead.

Thank you very much. I got under it and it looks to be just the axle CV joint, hopefully there is no more damage once we get it on the lift.

Does the axle assembly come all together or is the chunk part sold separately? the axle rod itself appears fine.

Did you crack a shaft inside the diff,

Or is the problem just one of the axle shafts that slip socket connects to the diff on the diffs shafts instead.

As for the shaft that I showed with the spine end cracked off in the above post, that is the output shaft of the trans.

the axle 1/2 shafts you pictured, one has broken under the rubber at the knuckle next to the rear end housing. My mechanic will look at the housing etc. tomorrow to see if anything else is broken but so far it looks ok. I don't know enough about it to use the correct terminology. I hope this helps you help me.

Thank so much

Is easy to find out what went wrong if you lift up the whole car all the way up on 3 ton jack stands start the car let somebody get it going easy on first gear as you look under the car, this will show where the problem is even if inside a rubber boot. (Just stay away from the rear tires)

I can see the problem. It blew the rubber boot apart. I just wasn't sure if there is anything else wrong. After checking around I have discovered that the axle assembly comes as a unit and is not rebuild able. So I am ordering a temporary replacement to get me back on the road until I decide to spend the $1700 for a set of 800HP G Force shafts. Thank you for all of your help with this.
