totally dead electricallly
When I stopped at the restaurant tonight not sure what I did but when I turned it off she (c6 2007) jumped forward a little. fine. when in to eat and came out and she was totally dead. Got into the car thru the trunk key and opened the door. No electricity. no lights. put the fob in the glove box to fire that up and no joy there either. It will be AAA tomorrow.
What do you think. Some fuse busticated? I should add the battery is was putting out perfect voltage.right up to the dinner. I always check my gauges.

The gauge is not going to tell you that you had a bad cell that was not allowing the battery to charge.
All in all good advice. My brother connected the cables and in 10 seconds she fired right off. I will get the battery checked. I've driven around today - starting and stopping - various errands. No problems. Just looked at the dash now its nighttime and I see the little red light blinking every 3 or seconds. Good so far.
I still think something happened when I failed to shut it down prior to entering the restaurant. She lurched to a stop with ac running. I don't know. So far so good but, as all have said, I'll have the batt tested. She seems to be charging correctly now but maybe the cold starting amps are low. ?? Batt looks new but can't tell age.

Does that last sentence mean you bought the car used? If that's so, assume the batt. is, at its newest, one week old from the day you got the car. Good idea to get the batt. tested.
I don't know if it's still true, but there used to be a way of telling the age of a batt. by a code on the outside (I haven't looked in many years for it). What you'll need is a load test for each cell to see if they can hold a charge.

Bought it used. Went all over the batt looking for dates, etc, and nothing found. Looks new but that can be deceiving. It's off to AutoZone tomorrow and get it tested.
I have had the same issue at times. Car runs great and then next time I go to start it dead as a door nail. In my case the battery is less than two years old. I have found simply disconnecting the negative connector to the battery for about 10 seconds then putting it back on his done the trick. It’s a PITA but works. I’ve checked the connection at the battery and I know it’s tight so I guess it’s possible the connection at the other end is loose but I haven’t found where that point is yet. Regardless, I carry a 10 mm socket hand ranch with me and that allows me to do this repair any place.

I'm putting a 10mm in my tool bag. Here in Charleston the heat index is hovering around 105 so when things get cooler I'll have the batt checked out and will report back the results. Since owners have responded to my problem I think they should know what the outcome was.

Voltage output looks normal according to the various posts I've read. I did find the date on the battery and It read P 080R. I cannot believe that this date means it's an August 2010 batt still running as of today. As I posted before I killed then engine by letting our the clutch with my foot on the brake and she lunged to a stop in the parking lot space. Came out later and the batt was dead. May be time for a new batt.
