Started with a service charging system error message. It came and went away in about a day of driving.
Went to start the car the next morning and no crank. Not a noise or anything. Checked engine codes and it pulled a P0335 and P0340. Crank and Cam position sensors. Do some research and find that it could be a signal issue from not starting. Get a new battery and check alternator and starter. Battery is new, alternator and starter both check good. Put everything back together. Car still wont start. The codes are gone. I get a click under the shift **** and from what I can tell one in the engine bay but nothing else. All the lights on the dash work and the DIC comes up. It will go to accessory mode etc just not start.
My 2006 Manual car just did something similar. I hit start and just hear a loud click from under the hood. Kinda used to it by now, this will be the 4th started I put in over the last three and a half years. The collector to my longtubes sits right under the started and keeps frying them.
Well this has been less than useful. I did some reading in service manuals and it seems that my ECM may be gone. I need to run a test for a 4.6 -5.2 vdc signal at the cam and crank position sensor along with some continuity checks. If they dont exist where expected the ECM is likely shot.
Been 2 years. Figured I would follow up. Found a litany of bad relays. I still get service charging error every once in a while. It may still be ECM related with heat playing a role. I can't track it down and don't have the care to change the ECM. The message rarely populates any more so I just left it be for now.

Hey brother, Just trying to clarify, what exactly ended up fixing your no start nor click issues with those codes. I’am actually having this problem as we speak.
