I’m stumped and could use some help! My service active handling system light is on. Here is what happened prior to the light coming on. I was turning left at a traffic light and from a dead stop I accelerated a little aggressive......then pretty much immediately is a sweeping right hand turn staying in the gas and stil accelerating somewhat aggressive I hit a bump in the road that upset the car a little....I was maybe doing 35-40 mph...maybe. As I’m pulling up to the next stop light pointing straight ahead I notice my steering wheel is now clocked to the right aprox an 1/8 of a turn and my service active handling system light is on. Anyone have any ideas what might have happened?
Also, if you hit something hard enough to cause the steering wheel to be cocked with the tires pointing forward, that needs to be resolved as well.
Hence the C6 has a steering wheel position sensor, and when the steering wheel is cocked and the wheel pointing forward, A/H will freak out since it think that you are tuning when you are not (yaw sensor not picking up any G readings as if the car was turning, yet steering wheel sensor telling A/H that you are turning instead).
