Just wanted to post my personal experience with the speed engineering headers and x-pipe. I was debating on either them or the Texas Speed headers and decided to save a little money and go with Speed Engineering set. I wanna say I paid just under $500 shipped to my door. I opted to reuse my OEM gaskets and bolts and had no issues. Ill be honest this was the easiest header install I have ever done. I soaked old manifolds and o2's the night before in PB Blaster just in case and had no issues removing any old hardware or getting the old exhaust off. I was dreading the task of sliding the new headers into place but both sides went in pain free without having to adjust or move anything out of the way. From there it was just sliding the x-pipe into place and tightening up all of the clamps. One complaint I do have is that they only designed this system for LS3 cars and the LS2 catbacks have a slightly different angle on the passenger side over the axle catback pipe. So I did have to drive it over to a shop with half open exhaust and pay $40 to reshape the catback/xpipe connection piece to fit properly on the passenger side. They went as far as sending extra pipes in case I had a 3" or 2.5" catback so I don't see why they could not just have an option for 05-07 and 08+ cars so a trip to the exhaust shop could be avoided making it a true "bolt-on" modification. Anyhow with the o2 extensions and fab work I came in at under $600 for a very nice looking high quality stainless 1 7/8" header and 3" x-pipe setup.Total install time was roughly 3-4 hours on my back in my driveway. The car sounds great and I can for sure feel some freed up power when I put my foot to the floor. Figured this would help anybody who was in the market I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
Check your emails from eBay. Occasionally they have coupons. I saved $60 on my Vararam last month. You usually only have 24 hours so keep an eye on them.

I was confused since OP was talking about cat backs, which are actually axle ( no cats) backs. I'm sure that's right. So looks like there's no cats in this setup. I think I'll hold out for now or try someone that offers full flow cats.
